Anke is the CEO of Opportunity International Deutschland. Prior to the CEO role she was Opportunity's Program Director for 13 years. She holds a Master of Arts in Romance Studies, Business Administration and Education. Prior to her Master Degree she did a vocational training as an Industrial Management Assistant.

She also acquired the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Development and Cooperation (CAS) at the ETH in Zurich, Switzerland and graduated from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management as a "Certified Microfinance Expert".
